anniversary!

Today is our 9th anniversary!  9th!  I can't believe how the time flies.  I am so blessed to have a caring, supportive husband, and to have four beautiful daughters.  Happy day!  And here's to many more wonderful years.

Tonight my mom came over to help us release some ladybugs into our backyard - on our rose and other flower bushes to be precise.  Ladybugs are a natural pesticide, since they eat aphids.  The girls were pretty excited, although Norah got freaked out once the ladybugs were released from their plastic tub.

Keira turns 3!

Keira's birthday is Cinco de Mayo.  Fitting for her personality, to be honest!  We just had a backyard bbq with the grandparents and had cake and presents.  Nothing too fancy, but we had a good time.

Some things about Keira:

- she loves her red blanket

- she will randomly come up to me and say "I love you mama"

- she is a snuggle bug.  If you are on the couch, she will climb up to be with you

- she loves doing everything her older sisters Ava and Norah do

- while she is very sweet and loving at times, Keira is definitely the most defiant of all our girls

- her favorite toys include her animal train, her walkable LPS, and her plastic animal figures

Serena - One Year!

I can't believe our baby is now officially 1.  Her birthday was a few weeks ago.  We had a causal party with friends, then presents with family that evening.   We left immediately for Las Vegas for Spring Break the next day, so life's been a little hectic.

Here's some stats on Serena:  

- she is the BEST sleeper.  Once she's in her crib, she rolls over onto her tummy, crawls into a corner, sucks her fingers and goes to sleep.  It's so cute to watch.

- she's a champion eater

- she loves strawberries

- she only has 4 teeth

- tickling under her ears and her belly induces waves of giggles

- her sisters love reading to her and bringing her toys to play with

- she crawls, but she's beginning to pull herself up

Happy Easter everyone!

Norah's 5th Birthday

Our Norah Noo-Noo is now 5!  (Yesterday was her actual birthday).  Last Saturday we had her party with friends, and last night we opened gifts with family.  Some quick facts about Norah:

- she still loves animals

- Littlest Pet Shop is her favorite type of toy, followed by ponies and stuffed animals

- she loves to play with Serena 

- her new favorite game is playing Mario World simulated for N64 on the Wii (to which she refers to as the "real" Mario game)

- her recent catch phrase is "Mama Mia Papa Pia"

- and she is still our champion at coloring
